Lindsey started her policing career with North Yorkshire Police in 2004 working in operational roles in the York and Selby districts. She was successful in the High Potential Development Scheme in 2011 before moving on to become Staff Officer to the Deputy Chief Constable.
Lindsey has worked in a variety of roles including Custody Sergeant, Safer Neighbourhood Inspector, Control Room Inspector, and Chief Inspector Operations for the Scarborough and Ryedale Command. Lindsey is also an experienced Firearms and Public Order Commander.
In 2018 Lindsey took up post of Area Commander for York and Selby with responsibilities for response, neighbourhood policing, investigation and intelligence teams.
In July 2021, Lindsey was appointed to Temporary Assistant Chief Constable in North Yorkshire Police and is responsible for local policing.
Lindsey has a Master’s Degree in Police Leadership and Management from Warwick Business School.
