Getting the balance of knowledge and experience right in our workforce is really important, so for some roles we actively recruit transferees from other forces.
From vast countryside to busy urban areas, North Yorkshire holds some of the most popular scenic beauty spots. The North Yorkshire force area covers City of York, Selby, Scarborough, Ryedale, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Harrogate and Craven.
Whether you’re looking for the next step in your policing career, or wishing to move closer to family and friends; if you’re a serving police officer, then North Yorkshire could have the opportunity you are seeking.
To be eligible to transfer to North Yorkshire Police, you will:
be currently serving at the rank of constable in a recognised Home Office police force
have successfully completed the full IPDLP training programme
have successfully completed your probationary period
have an acceptable performance, attendance and disciplinary record.
We actively encourage former officers to return to policing with North Yorkshire Police; whether you left to focus on family, experience a different force or to try a different career altogether, your skills and experience will be a valuable addition to our team.
The eligibility criteria are the same as above.
